The section dealing with accompaniment gives a comprehensive list of chord progression in various keys. Included also is an informative introduction to the place of the piano in Irish traditional music. This section contains some rare photos of many of the greats. Finally there is a selection of tunes to put to use all the skills acquired from the early chapters. Demonstration recordings are available to accompany this book - all the tunes and various techniques are played slowly at first and then up to full speed. This book is ideal for players who have a few years experience on the piano and who are interested in playing traditional Irish music either solo or as accompaniment in true Celi Band style. |
